Pour terminer l'année, votre serviteur fut le mystérieux Homme 1 in Le silence, pièce existentialiste de Nathalie Sarraute.

Bel écrin que la spectaculaire librairie française de NYC pour cet auteur contemporain majeur, quelque peu oublié.

Staged reading, in French, of “The Silence” a play by existentialist playwright Nathalie Sarraute, adapted and edited for the purposes of the staged presentation by “Les Joueurs”. 

Seven characters on stage, one of which doesn’t say a thing and yet it is his aloofness that brings a mounting frenzy of anxiety and playfulness to this play.  In the existentialist tradition that speaks that our consciousness exists only through the interaction with other people.
